How Optivance is hosted and operated on Google Cloud — availability, backups, disaster recovery, and scalability.
Last updated: 30 June 2026
Cloud hosting
Optivance runs on Google Cloud Platform, primarily in the London region (europe-west2). We build on Google Cloud's independently audited physical and environmental security and operate our own controls on top.
High availability
The service is designed for high availability, with redundancy across multiple availability zones so that the failure of a single component does not take the service down. Our target availability is 99.9%.
Daily backups
Customer data is backed up automatically every day. Backups are encrypted with AES-256 and stored separately from production, with a 35-day retention period.
Disaster recovery
We maintain a disaster recovery plan with a Recovery Point Objective of 24 hours and a Recovery Time Objective of 4 hours. Recovery procedures are reviewed and tested periodically.
Monitoring
We monitor availability, performance, and security signals continuously, with automated alerting to our on-call engineers for anomalies.
Automatic updates
Security patches and updates are applied promptly. Deployments are automated, peer-reviewed, and released with the ability to roll back quickly.
Scalability
The platform scales horizontally on Google Cloud to meet demand, so performance remains consistent as call and message volumes grow.
Business continuity
We maintain a business continuity plan covering key operational risks, so the service and customer support can continue through disruption.
